"Where I travel there are no shops so when I buy a product it has to work."
I have in the past run on some other well known brands and have found that I had multiple punctures and especially chipping. In 2009 I changed to Mickey Thompson and have never looked back. I am aware that the other brands have improved over these years but why tempt fate? Where I travel there are no shops so when I buy a product it has to work.
I've been to Fraser Island, Simpson Desert, The Gulf, Cape York, Outback Qld, Outback NSW, and still travelling on my Mickeys.
My MTZ I used to get about 80,000km on the 80 series. On the Pajero NW I had more than 60% left after 47,000km. On the ATZ P3 now fitted to my Landcruiser 79 Dual Cab (vdj79r) we recently completed a 10,000km Gulf trip returning via the Simpson and Strezlecki Deserts with no issues.
I'm driving on ATZ P3 at the moment. I changed from the MTZ to see how they perform on the 79 dual cab on and off road as this is a very heavy vehicle.
