America's specialty 4WD tyre company, Mickey Thompson Tires, has introduced an all-new aggressive mud terrain tyre, the Baja Radial MTZ.

Deep scalloped shoulder lugs give maximum offroad traction in soft or boggy conditions, and huge stepped Sidebiters provide extra 'biting' traction for climbing out of ruts. Variable-sized tread block 'cut-outs' provide excellent self-cleaning capabilities in sticky situations.

It is what is inside this new revolutionary new mud terrain that really counts. The MTZ features PowerPly, the latest 3 ply tyre technology from Mickey Thompson. This unique PowerPly consists of Mickey Thompson's traditional extra thick 2-ply carcass with an added third ply at a slight angle. The angled ply, the PowerPly, causes less radial torque twist than traditional 2 and 3 ply radial tyres to get more power to the ground faster for maximum steering response and high speed stability. The PowerPly also adds strength to the carcass to decrease the chances of offroad damage.

The new MTZ is available in 24 traditional and specialty light truck sizes and all have the new PowerPly technology. Sizes range from 31/10.50R15LT up to 38x15.50R20LT, including sizes to suit 15, 16, 17, 18 and 20 inch fitments.
